Become a Spotlight Young Artist in Residence

The Spotlight Young Artists in Residence programme will support five young artists to develop an original creative project at Spotlight this summer holiday.

Calling all young visual artists! The Spotlight Young Artists in Residence programme is offering support to five young artists (16 -19) making work using any material or process, to realise an independent creative project or artwork at Lansbury Spotlight this summer holiday.

Young Artists are offered a full residency package, including:

  • 8 days of studio time over the summer holiday

  • £70 towards your project

  • Creative trips

  • Weekly 1-1 mentoring sessions

  • Access to creative materials and equipment

  • A pop-up exhibition at The Whitechapel Gallery

In return, Young Artists will have to commit to all scheduled sessions at Spotlight, deliver a workshop or talk to the young people at Spotlight and exhibit their final project at the Whitechapel Gallery.

This project will run 10-4pm on the following days:

Induction day: 26 July

Studio time: 26 July, 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21 August

Exhibition: 23 August
